David Decker

David Decker, outgoing Chairman of the Javea Branch, served the Branch twice in this capacity, in addition to holding other posts within the Committee over the last decade. Club membership has grown, substantially, during his current term of office and he and his committee have worked hard to combine all the important social elements of popular Branch Events with the continuous need for political fund raising.

David has lived in Spain with his wife Jenny (our Treasurer) since 1995. A retired Army and RAF officer who has also worked in the Hotel and catering industry internationally. After running his own business in the UK, he joined Grand Metropolitan in Abu Dhabi (UAE). He came to Spain having spent the previous 8 years as a specialist Management Consultant, concentrating on work within the NHS. Since 1980 he has been an active Conservative supporter, first as Vice-Chairman of the South Henley Constituency Association and later in Maidstone. He was a member of the Laddingford Branch Committee. His main interests are politics, computing, angling, photography,food and wine.
